Up to 200 files can be saved in each of the five folders and an SDHC Card slot ensures ample storage capacity. Recordings are saved in the high-quality DSSPro format and users have the choice of various recording modes including the new extra-high-quality QP mode.

A large backlit LCD assists operation and ensures easy navigation through the intuitive menus which are available in six languages. Files can be downloaded quickly and easily to a PC or Mac via Hi-Speed USB and integrated in the office workflow thanks to the included DSS Player software.

For dedicated transcription needs, Olympus also offers the optional AS-2400 Transcription Kit which includes a footswitch and headset for hands-free operation.
